Over the past 7 weeks I have been learning to describe the characteristics of music from songs of a different time and place

I can describe these characteristics in a piece of music Here are some listed below

Melody-

series of single notes that are played repeatedly (the bit that gets stuck in your head)

Harmony-

Multiple notes that are played together at once

Minor = sad song

Major  =happy song

Rhythm-

Repeated sounds that can change speeds throughout the song

Timbre-

Sound quality special sound that makes each voice or instrument different (has its own tone)

Form-

the music plan- how song is put together
